The Rotary Clubs of Kings County Charitable Foundation was established to create a sustainable fund for Rotary and community initiatives; it is designed to include all Kings County Rotary clubs, as required by Rotary International. Guided by its mandate to steward endowed funds and distribute income to qualified charitable organizations, the

Foundation has grown steadily since its inception. After establishing the Foundation in 2007, the Board of Directors was pleased to make its first donation of $6,000 to six area food banks in 2009.

Since then, annual contributions to our communities increased steadily as the Foundation grew. Its endowed funds now approach $4,000,000 and in 2025 alone the Foundation contributed approximately $160,000 to the community.

Grant Applications

Organizations seeking support from the Foundation must:

  1. Complete the service support application found on this website.
  2. Forward your completed application to the Foundation Secretary via email to: rckccf@gmail.com
  3. If funded, complete a final report on your project within a year of receiving the funds.
Foundation Disbursement Process
  1. Applications (for projects of at least $10K) may be submitted to the Foundation secretary between January 1 and September 15.

  2. Applications are reviewed and ranked based on the following criteria: Charitable status (essential), community impact (25%), access to other funds (20%), sustainability (25%), project risk (25%), and management history. During the application process, members of the Foundation disbursement team may make site visits to better understand the projects under review.

  3. The disbursement committee proposes a list of candidates to the Board of Directors with funding recommendations.

  4. The Board meets and makes the final decision (usually early December).

  5. Successful applicants will be required to submit a report on their project within a year.
